Message from the Chair,
After 95 years, the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce has become known for its support of the West Seattle community and Chamber members. From keeping the West Seattle community informed about impactful issues and advocating on West Seattle’s behalf with local government, to providing regular educational opportunities and picking up trash, the Chamber is focused on serving the West Seattle community and Chamber members.
In 2019, the Chamber is focusing on four main areas: Advocacy, Networking & Advertising, Education, and Sustainability.
Advocacy – The Chamber seeks to be a conduit of information between the West Seattle business community and government. Together we hope to leverage our influence to advance initiatives and policies that protect and secure a business-friendly environment and maintain the health of the West Seattle community as a whole.
Networking & Advertising – The Chamber strives to provide meaningful and enjoyable networking & business exposure opportunities to its members. The Chamber will continue to provide its members with the types of networking opportunities that create effective connections, and we hope this year to expand the range of options for members to connect with each other and to expand members’ business exposure and markets.
Education – The Chamber will expand its support of West Seattle Businesses with relevant education, tools, and resources. The Chamber is developing a “toolbox” for professional development that addresses emerging issues facing businesses in West Seattle.
Sustainability – The Chamber is committed to growing and changing with the needs of its members by keeping fingers on the pulse of the membership and adapting its infrastructure to meet member needs.
The West Seattle Chamber has events each month which are available to members and non-members alike. Find information about our events and membership at our new website: https://www.wschamber.com/
Wishing all of West Seattle the best for 2019 –
